What's New?

The Next Bone Prince is now available for purchase, and it’s been out for a while. The manuscript for this has been finished around the year 2012. And over the years, I’ve revised and made some changes to the story and how it was written. I do admit that the edits done to the drafts aren’t up to par with A Maiden’s Misadventures with the Starless Sorcerer. A few reasons for that are:

1. Funds are short. Beta readers, editors and proofreaders all have a cost for their service, and the best ones, especially the ones that I work with, are expensive. Therefore, as many indie publishers/novelists do, I’ve done the edits on my own and with some help with online tools to check grammar and consistency. For readers, that do see errors on your copy, apologies. Please don’t hesitate to send an email and point them out, my details are at the end of the book.

 2. Limited time. Apart from my 2nd book published, this is my 1st entry to Amazon’s Kindle Storyteller 2025. The deadline was until end of August 2025, so I had to quickly get the designs and cover done while editing the content and preparing for the paperback and the digital format. At one point, my then book designer dropped my job request in July, so I had to find another illustrator to do the cover you see now. It was very rushed and pricey, but in the end, I really love the outcome of the cover.

Soul Selection 2

 The prep work for SS2 is already done. This means the plots and world building and other details going into the 2nd book is ‘meaty’ enough for me to use. Now, I’m working on the actual manuscript itself, getting those word numbers up--currently around 10k+. It’s been touch and go for these past days, since changes to the story and characters happen a lot. But I’m excited for their progression and reactions to what will happen in their own arcs and the broader story itself. No teasers at the moment yet, since it’s a bit too early to mention anything that I may end up removing later on. But yeah, I’m excited and writing. 😉

Career Changes  

 My day job isn’t as fantastical as creative writing is, but I am good at what I do. Recently though, I’ve been let go due to reasons I’m not allowed to say. But to be frank, I kind of think of it as a blessing-in-disguise. I’ve had these past months to focus on getting the Next Bone Prince out which I thought I wouldn’t actually do. The plan was for me to write Soul Selection 2 while I continue on with my day job. But since I was let go, I suddenly have time to enter Amazon’s Kindle Storyteller, so this was a great opportunity to try. Further, now I have the time to continue writing Soul Selection while I try and find a replacement for my day job. All things considered, I remain positive throughout this creative journey of mine. Everyday I get to write is a day I feel blessed I was a given time to express my creativity and bring my imaginations to life.
