Part One: Tarot Reading Sessions

1. Nature of Service

All tarot reading sessions provided by EMC Lorenzo ("the Reader") are offered for entertainment and personal guidance purposes only. Tarot readings are not a substitute for professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to medical, psychological, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice.

By booking and/or purchasing a tarot reading session, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Tarot readings are a tool for reflection and self-exploration, not prediction or certainty
  • The Reader does not claim to predict the future, communicate with the deceased, or provide verified factual information about any person, event, or outcome
  • All interpretations offered during a session represent possibilities and perspectives only, not guaranteed outcomes

2. Your Autonomy & Responsibility

You retain full and sole responsibility for every decision, action, or choice you make — before, during, and after your session. No reading, card interpretation, or guidance provided by the Reader removes or diminishes your personal agency or accountability.

The Reader is not responsible for any decisions you make as a result of, or in response to, your reading. You understand that you alone are the author of your own life.

3. No Guarantees

The Reader makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or outcome of any reading. Results will vary between individuals and sessions. No specific outcome is promised or guaranteed.

4. Health, Mental Health & Vulnerability

If you are currently experiencing a mental health crisis, severe emotional distress, or any condition that may affect your ability to engage with a reading in a grounded way, the Reader respectfully asks that you seek appropriate professional support before booking a session.

The Reader reserves the right to decline, pause, or end a session at their discretion if they believe it is in the best interest of the client.

5. Payments & Bookings

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your session
  • All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of any applicable GST
  • Payments are processed securely via Stripe or PayPal — the Reader does not store your payment details

6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your session are eligible for a full refund or reschedule
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your session are non-refundable
  • If you do not attend your session at the scheduled time without prior notice, the session is forfeited and no refund will be issued
  • The Reader reserves the right to reschedule sessions in the event of illness or emergency, with reasonable notice given to the client

7. Refunds

Refunds are not offered on the basis of dissatisfaction with the content of a reading. By booking a session, you understand that tarot is subjective and interpretive in nature, and that outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

Refund requests for technical issues (e.g. failed video connection) will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

8. Session Recording

Sessions may be recorded by the client for personal use only, with prior notice given to the Reader at the time of booking. The Reader may also record sessions for their own records — clients will be notified before the session begins.

Recordings may not be shared, published, or distributed publicly in any form without written consent from the Reader.

9. Confidentiality

The Reader treats all session content as confidential. Your personal information and session details will not be shared with third parties except where required by law.

10. Session Reports, Recordings & Reader's Recollection

To support your experience after the session, the Reader offers an optional (complimentary) service of recording and transcribing your reading using AI-assisted platforms. Where this service is used, a written report is generated from the session transcript and provided to you as a personal reference to take away.

Once your report has been delivered, all audio recordings, transcripts, and associated files are permanently deleted from the Reader's systems. No copies are retained.

This process reflects how the Reader works: each session is engaged with fully and completely in the moment. After a session concludes, the Reader does not retain any memory or recollection of what was discussed, drawn, or interpreted. This is intentional — it is how the Reader clears and resets between clients.

As a result, the Reader is unable to answer follow-up questions about the content of a previous session, reconstruct what was said, or recall specific cards, interpretations, or advice given during your reading after the fact.

For this reason, clients are strongly encouraged to:

  • Request the optional session report at the time of booking or at the start of their session
  • Take personal notes during the session if they wish
  • Review their report promptly upon receipt, as it represents the only lasting record of the session

The Reader accepts no responsibility for any loss of session content where a recording was not requested, was not technically possible, or where the client did not retain their report after delivery.

11. In-Person Sessions

For face-to-face sessions conducted at a client's home or a public location:

  • The client agrees to provide a safe and appropriate environment for the session
  • The Reader reserves the right to decline or end an in-person session if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any time
  • Public location sessions (e.g. parks) are subject to weather and environmental conditions — the Reader will communicate any changes as early as possible
  • The Reader carries public liability insurance for in-person sessions

12. Age Requirement

You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a tarot reading session. By completing a booking, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Sessions involving the reading of a minor's path or situation must be booked by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on behalf of the minor.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, the Reader's total liability to you in connection with any session shall not exceed the amount paid for that session. The Reader is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage arising from a session.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Victorian courts.

Part Two: Novel & Book Purchases

15. Third-Party Retailers & Distributors

EMC Lorenzo's published works are made available through a range of third-party retail and distribution platforms including but not limited to:

  • Draft2Digital
  • IngramSpark
  • Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)
  • Apple Books
  • Barnes & Noble Press
  • Kobo Writing Life
  • And other affiliated retailers and distributors

Purchases made through any third-party platform are governed entirely by that platform's own terms and conditions, refund policies, and customer service processes.

EMC Lorenzo has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for:

  • Pricing set or changed by third-party platforms
  • Delivery, download, or technical issues experienced through a third-party retailer
  • Refund or return decisions made by third-party platforms
  • Formatting variations between platforms and devices
  • Regional availability or pricing differences across territories

For any issues with a purchase made through a third-party retailer, please contact that retailer's customer support directly.

16. Digital Products

E-books and digital editions are delivered by the respective retail platform. EMC Lorenzo does not deliver digital files directly and cannot replace or re-issue files purchased through third-party stores.

All written works published under the name EMC Lorenzo are the intellectual property of the author. No part of any published work may be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, adapted, or used in any form without prior written permission from the author, except as permitted under Australian copyright law.

This includes but is not limited to: copying text, creating derivative works, AI training use, or commercial reproduction.

18. Reviews & Feedback

Readers are welcome and encouraged to leave honest reviews on retail platforms. The author does not offer compensation of any kind in exchange for reviews.

19. Changes to These Terms

EMC Lorenzo reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of services or purchase of products after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
